Solutions Architecture Specialist | Infra and Telecom - Technology Architecture

Our Technology area is a fundamental pillar of our business, being responsible for our digital transformation. Here, we create technological solutions by always conceptualizing and developing automation techniques and processes, whether to improve the work experience of our teams or to increase the delivery capacity of our products and services.

We are responsible for a gigantic infrastructure that serves Globo's main video products, such as Globoplay, Premiere, and the Globo Channels. Additionally, we are responsible for the live broadcast of major events - from state football championships, the World Cup, Olympics, Rock in Rio, and even the live cameras of Big Brother Brasil, which is available 24x7 for all Globoplay subscribers.

Strategic challenges:

The media and entertainment market lives in constant transformation, with varied forms, behaviors, platforms, and monetization of content consumption. Multiple companies from different segments compete for the attention and the pockets of consumers and advertisers. This constant transformation comes much from the evolution of technology in the world itself.

In this scenario, Globo has been seeking different audience segments, new products, new distribution strategies, new ways of operating, and new business models.

To support so much transformation, we need to understand industry movements, the customer market, our business strategy, technology trends, our levers, and our gaps.

Designing new technology capabilities, transforming some, and seeking innovation and partnerships is absolutely necessary.

Architecture's role:

Globo's Technology Architecture seeks professionals who can work at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and execution.

The area's mission is to design and propose strategies, architectures, and technological evolution roadmaps for various business domains and technology foundations of the company.

It does this with an approach focused on the company's main transformational challenges, at strategic and tactical levels, and in a very collaborative manner with other technology and business areas.

The area is structured into the roles of corporate architecture, solutions architecture, and data & IA architecture.

Bring your experience in industry benchmarks, capability maps, reference architectures, gap and buy or build analyses, and the construction of future visions and technology roadmaps.

Responsibilities and assignments

How your day-to-day will be:

Define and evolve Infrastructure and Telecom architecture, ensuring alignment with the company's technological and business strategy;

Build and maintain architectural models, capability maps, principles, standards, and technological roadmaps to guide executive and structural I&T decisions;

Produce high-level architectural designs connecting domains, platforms, and technological capabilities;

Act critically and consultatively with technical areas, questioning solutions, identifying gaps, and proposing structural directions;

Evaluate architectural impacts of new initiatives, technologies, and strategic decisions;

Incorporate the AI-First Architecture concept into architectural decisions and models, promoting automation, operational intelligence, and strategic use of data;

Communicate and present architectural concepts to technical and executive audiences.

Point of attention:

• The immediate results of the work in this position are decisions that will influence the execution pipeline. Therefore, unlike a software delivery or operations area, the changes are felt in the medium and long term.

Requirements and qualifications

What you need:

Higher education in technology careers, such as engineering, computer science, etc.;

Post-graduate degree or specialization in Architecture, Technology, Telecom, Cloud, or related areas;

Advanced/Native English for reading, writing, and communication;

Experience as a corporate architect, domain architect, or solutions architect;

Experience in complex, distributed, hybrid, or multicloud technological environments;

Experience in Infrastructure, Telecommunications, or both, with the ability to sustain architectural decisions in these domains;

Experience in defining architectures and technical directions in contexts of technological or organizational transformation;

Experience in capability modeling (Capability Mapping) and building architectural models;

Ability to define technological principles, standards, and roadmaps;

Mastery of on-premises, cloud, or hybrid infrastructure;

Understanding of resilience, availability, scalability, automation, and observability in technological platforms;

Expertise in network architecture, connectivity, and telecom services;

Conceptual understanding of IA and its relationship with infrastructure and telecom.

Knowledge that sets you apart:

Experience in multicloud environments or complex hybrid architectures;

Experience with infrastructure as code and platform automation;

Experience in software-defined telecom (SDN / NFV);

Experience in integration between on-premises and cloud environments;

Knowledge in the use of IA in technology operations (AIOps or Enterprise AI Solutions Architecture);

Previous experience in solutions architecture, engineering, or operations, combined with a systemic vision;
