Senior Telecom Analyst | Core DTV+

We are responsible for a gigantic infrastructure that serves Globo's main video products, such as Globoplay, Premiere, and the Canais Globo. Additionally, we are responsible for the live transmission of major events - from state football championships, the World Cup, Olympics, Rock in Rio, and even the live cameras of Big Brother Brasil, which is available 24x7 for all Globoplay subscribers.

We are the Core DTV+ team. Our area is responsible for the evolution of the core capabilities of Core DTV+, integrating Broadcast and Broadband technologies and enabling services, functionalities, and experiences that sustain the next generation of Brazilian Digital TV.

We are looking for a professional with a solid technical background to work on the conception of architectures, platform evolution, and the development of new capabilities of the DTV+ ecosystem, working together with national and international suppliers and industry partners.

Work model: Hybrid - Rio de Janeiro/RJ or São Paulo/SP.

Responsibilities and assignments

How your day-to-day will be:

• Evolve the Core DTV+ architecture, covering central services, distributed components, and integrations between the Broadcast and Broadband ecosystems;
• Conceive and implement solutions for platform components, including DTV+ encoding, packaging, gateway, Core Edge, Globo Edge, and platform services;
• Work together with national and international suppliers in the evolution of the solutions that compose the DTV+ ecosystem;
• Evaluate new technologies, architectures, and standards related to Digital TV, streaming, and hybrid content distribution;
• Plan and execute homologations, proofs of concept (PoCs), and interoperability, performance, and compliance tests;
• Contribute to the technological evolution of the platform, supporting the construction of new capabilities for the future of Brazilian Digital TV.

Requirements and qualifications

What you need:

• Higher education in: Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related areas;
• Experience in solution architecture and platform integration;
• Experience with Broadcast, Streaming, or Digital TV systems;
• Knowledge of telecommunications technologies, signal transport, and content distribution;
• Knowledge of media distribution protocols and IP networks;
• Advanced English.

Knowledge that sets you apart:

• Experience with Digital TV or Broadcast platforms;
• Knowledge of architectures and technologies for Digital TV, including DTV+, media distribution protocols, and integration between Broadcast and Broadband environments;
• Experience with Cloud environments and containerization;
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban);
• Experience in the Media, Broadcast, and/or Streaming industry.
