We are responsible for a gigantic infrastructure that serves Globo's main video products, such as Globoplay, Premiere, and the Globo Channels. Furthermore, we are responsible for the live transmission of major events - from state football championships, the World Cup, Olympics, Rock in Rio, and even the live cameras of Big Brother Brasil, which is available 24x7 for all Globoplay subscribers.

We are the Distribution Platform area. Our team is responsible for the evolution of Globo's content distribution capabilities, covering distribution to Pay TV, national and international operators, affiliates, contribution networks, OTT distribution, and integration with strategic partners.

We are looking for a professional to work on the conception and evolution of content distribution architectures, developing new capabilities for Globo's different delivery means. Work model: Hybrid - Rio de Janeiro/RJ or São Paulo/SP.

Responsibilities and assignments

What your day-to-day will be like:

• Evolve distribution solutions for Pay TV, operators, affiliates, and OTT platforms;
• Conceive and implement architectures for Broadcast and IP content distribution chains, for Globo channels and major events;
• Work on the integration of solutions with operators, suppliers, and strategic partners;
• Evaluate new technologies and protocols for video signal transport and distribution;
• Plan and execute homologations, proofs of concept (PoCs), and performance tests;
• Contribute to the technological evolution of the platforms responsible for Globo's content distribution.

Requirements and qualifications

What you need:

• Higher education in: Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields;
• Knowledge of telecommunications technologies, signal transport, and content distribution;
• Knowledge of IP networks and media transport protocols;
• Knowledge of Broadcast and OTT distribution architectures;
• Advanced English.

Knowledge that sets you apart:

• Knowledge of satellite distribution;
• Knowledge of content distribution chains;
• Knowledge of SRT, RTP, and MPEG-TS;
• Knowledge of distribution to operators and affiliates;
• Knowledge of CDN and Origin Delivery;
• Knowledge of cloud;
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban);
• Experience in the Media, Broadcast, and/or Streaming industry.
