Mid-Level Data Analyst - Data & AI

We are responsible for a gigantic infrastructure that serves Globo's main video products, such as Globoplay, Premiere, and the Globo Channels. Additionally, we are responsible for the live broadcast of major events - from state football championships, the World Cup, Olympics, Rock in Rio, and even the live cameras of Big Brother Brasil, which is available 24x7 for all Globoplay subscribers.

Responsibilities and assignments

How your day-to-day will be:

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team where your expertise in analysis and artificial intelligence models will help extract information from all our data sources;
• Propose ideas for effective and creative solutions, both from a technical and business point of view, to various challenges of the area and the company;
• Interact with several strategic areas of the department and the company to understand and participate in decision-making;
• Work on the development of innovative solutions and products involving large volumes of data and machine learning to serve our customers and advertisers;
• Positively impact the lives of thousands of people who consume Globo's content daily.

Requirements and qualifications

What you need:

• Completed Higher Education in Statistics, Mathematics, Computing, or exact sciences areas;
• Experience with exploratory analysis and descriptive statistics (trends, segmentation, A/B tests);
• At least 2 years of experience with SQL and Python for data processing and analysis (Pandas, Numpy);
• Relational databases (SQL is mandatory) — construction of complex queries, joins, aggregations, and optimization;
• Mastery of BI tools and dashboards (Power BI, Looker (Data Studio) or similar);
• Ability to transform data into actionable insights and communicate them clearly to business areas (data storytelling).

Knowledge that sets you apart:

• Strong analytical skills to translate numbers and model outputs for business areas;
• Having worked with large volumes of data;
• Ease in putting together well-founded presentations, with engaging narratives based on the results obtained, for business people and managers;
• Ease in public speaking, responding assertively to questions;
• Being organized, structured, and careful, ensuring documentation and data validation before drawing conclusions;
• Intermediate/advanced English (writing, reading, and conversation);
• Having used AI tools to accelerate analysis and structure results.
