MASON (GENERAL)

Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, tiles, and other masonry materials according to project specifications. Mix and prepare cement, mortar, grout, and concrete for construction and repair work. Construct, repair, and maintain walls, floors, foundations, pathways, and other masonry structures. Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and work instructions. Measure and mark work areas to ensure accurate alignment and level installation. Apply finishing techniques to masonry surfaces to achieve quality workmanship. Inspect completed work and perform necessary corrections or repairs. Operate and maintain masonry tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently. Ensure proper handling, storage, and utilization of construction materials. Follow workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area. Coordinate with supervisors and other construction personnel to complete projects on schedule. Perform other related duties as assigned to support construction and maintenance operations.

Qualifications/Requirements: Proven experience as a Mason or in a similar construction role. Knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and construction methods. Skilled in laying bricks, concrete blocks, tiles, stones, and other masonry materials. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Knowledge of mixing and applying cement, mortar, grout, and concrete. Familiarity with the use of masonry tools, equipment, and construction machinery. Understanding of workplace safety procedures and construction site regulations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Physically fit and capable of performing heavy manual labor in various weather conditions. Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team. Willing to work on-site and render overtime when required.
