CARPENTER (GENERAL)

Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, plywood, and other construction materials according to specifications. Construct, repair, and maintain building frameworks, structures, fixtures, and furniture. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine project requirements. Install doors, windows, cabinets, partitions, and other carpentry components. Inspect materials and completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project standards. Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently. Perform repairs, modifications, and maintenance work on existing structures and fixtures. Ensure proper use, storage, and handling of materials and equipment. Follow workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area. Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other workers to complete projects on schedule. Assist in estimating material requirements and reporting shortages or damages. Perform other related duties as assigned to support construction and maintenance operations.

Qualifications/Requirements: Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar construction or maintenance role. Knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction methods. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of measuring, cutting, assembling, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures. Familiarity with workplace safety standards and construction regulations. Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality. Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and performing manual labor. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good problem-solving and time-management skills. Willing to work on-site and render overtime when required.
