Electrical Specialist Grid Operations (m/f/d) (Electronics Technician - Operations Technology)
The energy transition can only happen together. Do you want to be a part of it? Then you have come to the right place!
Global Tech I, as the operator of the eponymous 400-megawatt offshore wind farm, makes an important contribution to the energy transition. We coordinate the operations, which have existed since 2015, both from our location in Hamburg and through our offshore personnel within the wind farm. You are not alone on the high seas with us: you will become part of an open, committed, and future-oriented team with a total of 80 employees. Together, we drive the further development of our wind farm – for a sustainable future and an employer that combines team spirit, responsibility, and progress.
What to expect from us:
Our operations control center is located at the company headquarters in Rödingshof in downtown Hamburg, which is responsible for the general operational monitoring of the wind farm, grid operations management, and maritime and weather observation. Communication with direct marketers and the transmission system operator takes place from here.
In addition, we offer you:
- Attractive conditions and a pleasant working atmosphere with a first-name culture and regular company events in a modern office in a central location (optimal accessibility via the Rödingsmarkt U-Bahn station as well as various restaurants and other amenities in the immediate vicinity)
- 30 days of vacation per year
- Further development through extensive design opportunities and individual training offers
- Deutschlandticket or JobRad leasing with employer subsidy, company pension scheme and occupational disability insurance, as well as group accident insurance including coverage for private accidents
- Health offers such as EGYM-WELLPASS including employer subsidy and preventive medical examinations
- Optimal office equipment, including company mobile phone and laptop (also for private use) and subsidized lunch delivery to the office
Your tasks:
- You plan switching operations, implement them, and conduct switching conversations with the technicians on site.
- You are independently responsible for ensuring safe working conditions at electrical systems.
- The operational management and remote monitoring of medium-voltage and high-voltage facilities is part of your tasks in shift operation.
- You handle maritime radio and maritime area monitoring to track all ship movements within the wind farm and the surrounding area.
- With the help of a permit to work system (Permit to Work), you check and approve work on the wind turbines.
- You create availability forecasts for direct marketing and the electricity grid operator.
- Technical operational data is monitored, evaluated, and analyzed by you.
- In the event of malfunctions, you initiate appropriate immediate measures and document them.
Why you might be a good fit for us:
- You have successfully completed training in the electrical engineering field or comparable qualifications.
- Ideally, you have switching authorization as well as practical experience with switching operations in grid operations.
- You bring the willingness and suitability for flexible deployment in shift operation, including weekends and public holidays.
- You are confident and experienced in handling MS-Office.
- You have good English skills.
- You are willing to undertake occasional offshore assignments.
We look forward to your application!
Diversity is important to us, so we welcome all applications, regardless of gender and gender identity, nationality, ethnic and social origin, religion or worldview, disability, age, as well as sexual orientation and identity.
