Your tasks

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Drama specialist to lead the department, inspire students and develop a high-quality curriculum across the secondary school.

The successful candidate will provide strong departmental leadership, deliver outstanding teaching and learning, and foster a genuine enthusiasm for Drama and Theatre Studies. You will play a key role in developing the curriculum, raising achievement and promoting performance opportunities that allow students to develop their creativity, confidence and theatrical skills.

Requirements

• A degree and/or specialist training specifically in Drama and Theatre Studies, together with UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Secondary specialism in English would be an advantage
• Proven, direct experience as a Head of Department in Drama and /or Theatre Studies
• Strong track record of high-quality teaching at KS3, GCSE and A-Level. Direct experience teaching the Pearson Edexcel GCSE Drama specification would be highly desirable.
