Pest Control Service Worker

Job Summary Glazer Design and Construction is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious Pest Control Service Worker to assist with pest prevention, inspection, and control activities at designated properties and work sites. The successful candidate will help identify potential pest problems, maintain clean and sanitary environments, support pest control treatments under appropriate supervision, and follow established safety procedures. The ideal candidate is responsible, willing to learn, and able to work effectively with team members while helping maintain safe, clean, and pest-free properties. Key Responsibilities Assist with inspecting designated buildings, work areas, storage spaces, and surrounding properties for signs of pest activity. Identify and report potential pest problems, entry points, and conditions that may attract insects or rodents. Support routine pest prevention and control activities according to company procedures. Assist with applying approved pest control products when properly trained and authorized. Follow product labels, safety instructions, and applicable regulations when handling pest control materials. Help install, inspect, and maintain appropriate pest monitoring devices and traps. Seal or report potential pest entry points and recommend preventive measures when appropriate. Maintain accurate records of inspections, service activities, and pest observations. Communicate pest-related concerns and service updates to supervisors and relevant property contacts. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and properly maintained. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow workplace safety procedures. Help educate customers or site personnel about basic sanitation and pest prevention practices. Report equipment issues, unusual pest activity, and safety concerns promptly. Perform additional maintenance and pest prevention support duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications Reliable, punctual, and responsible work habits. Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to recognize and report potential pest-related issues. Willingness to learn pest prevention methods and safe equipment handling. Ability to perform routine physical tasks, including standing, bending, walking, and carrying equipment within safe limits. Commitment to workplace cleanliness and safety procedures. Previous experience in pest control, building maintenance, construction support, or a related field is helpful but not required. Relevant pest control training or certification is an advantage; any legally required license must be obtained before performing regulated duties. Flexibility to work at different assigned sites and follow scheduled service appointments. Work Environment This position may involve working in residential, commercial, construction, and other property environments, depending on assigned projects. Work may take place indoors and outdoors and may require using protective equipment, inspecting hard-to-reach areas, and handling pest control tools.
