Job Summary The Architectural Designer will be responsible for supporting the design, development, documentation, and coordination of architectural projects from concept design through to construction and completion. The role involves working closely with architects, consultants, engineers, contractors, and relevant authorities to ensure that projects comply with applicable client/user requirements, authority requirements, and project timelines. Key Responsibilities

  1. Architectural Design

Develop architectural concepts, design proposals, space planning, layouts, and detailed drawings. Prepare design studies, presentation materials, renderings, and visualisations where required. Assist in developing architectural solutions that meet the client's requirements, project brief, budget, and programme. Review and incorporate design changes throughout the project.

  1. Architectural Documentation

Prepare architectural drawings, details, schedules, specifications, and submission documents. Produce drawings using AutoCAD, BIM (Revit / Archicad), SketchUp, or other relevant BIM/CAD software . Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and compliant with project requirements. Review architectural drawings for discrepancies, inconsistencies, and constructability issues.

  1. Authority Submissions

Familiar with authority requirements, especially in industrial projects. Assist in preparing and coordinating submissions to relevant authorities, including URA, BCA, SCDF, NParks, LTA, NEA, PUB, and any other relevant authorities. Assist in addressing authorities' written directions and incorporating required amendments into drawings and documents. Maintain proper records of submissions, approvals, correspondence, and revisions.

  1. Consultant & Project Coordination

Coordinate architectural works with structural, M&E, civil, and other specialist consultants. Attend coordination meetings, site meetings, and technical discussions where required. Liaise with contractors and consultants to resolve design and technical issues. Review consultant and contractor drawings to ensure proper coordination with the architectural design.

  1. Site & Construction Support

Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor architectural works and design implementation. Assist in identifying site discrepancies, defects, and construction issues. Prepare site inspection reports, sketches, and details where necessary. Assist the project team in resolving technical and construction-related issues.

  1. Project Administration

Maintain drawing registers, submission records, project documentation, and revision histories. Assist in preparing project schedules and tracking design and submission progress. Coordinate with the project team to ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines. Perform other architectural and project-related duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum degree in Architecture, preferably equivalent to Singapore BOA: Part II Min. 5 years relevant experience in architectural projects. Strong knowledge of authority requirements. Fast learner and good team player Proficient in AutoCAD ; knowledge of Revit/BIM and SketchUp will be an advantage. Good understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods, and building materials. Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects or deadlines. Ability to interpret and coordinate among architectural, structural, and M&E drawings. Working Environment The Architectural Designer will work in a multidisciplinary environment involving architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, clients, and statutory authorities. The position may require occasional site visits and attendance at project or coordination meetings.
