Education:
College/CEGEP.
Work setting:
- Hospital or home for the aged.
- Hospital/medical facility or clinic.
Tasks:
- Analyse clients' capabilities and expectations related to life activities through observation, interviews and formal assessments.
- Consult and advise on health promotion programs to prevent disabilities and to maximize independent function in all activities of life.
- Develop and implement treatment programs.
- Evaluate treatment progress.
- Maintain clinical and progress reports.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :
Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists Membership.
Security and safety:
- Immunization records.
- Tuberculosis test.
- Vulnerable sector check.
Transportation/travel information:
- Valid driver's licence.
- Own transportation.
