Application Support Engineer M/F
Grafton is recruiting, on behalf of one of its international clients operating in an industrial environment, an Application Support & Lifecycle Engineer.
Your mission
Within the IT team, you will ensure the technical lifecycle management of business applications up to Installation Qualification (IQ). You will intervene in installation, configuration, updates/patches, IT documentation, as well as the preparation and execution of IQ activities and associated IT support.
The position is centered on the technical dimension: it does not include functional qualification (OQ/PQ) nor the responsibility for regulatory validation, which is handled by the QA/VSI teams.
You will operate in a demanding context, at the heart of deployment, cybersecurity, change management, and availability issues for critical systems supporting industrial operations.
Your main responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain business applications (prerequisites, versions, patches).
- Coordinate technical patching (OS, middleware, applications) with IT, business, and QA teams.
- Write and maintain technical documentation (procedures, configurations, versions, system sheets).
- Contribute to technical qualification/validation activities (IQ scope) in connection with QA/VSI.
- Perform technical impact analyses during version upgrades (minor/major).
- Participate in the review and implementation of application and technical changes.
- Guarantee traceability via ITSM tools and the CMDB.
- Provide the necessary technical elements to QA/VSI for validation, without bearing the responsibility for it.
- Monitor releases/patches and propose relevant updates.
Governance & interactions
- Participation in the CAB (Change Advisory Board) to present changes and their impacts.
- Continuous collaboration with QA/VSI on the alignment of IQ activities.
- Participation in release and security reviews.
Profile sought
- Master's degree (Bac+4/5) in IT/systems or equivalent.
- Experience in several of the following skills: Business applications
- Windows Server, Active Directory
- Software deployment
- N2/N3 application support
- Change control / change management
- Technical documentation
- Regulated environments
- Experience in a regulated environment (industry, healthcare, banking, insurance) is a plus. GxP / GAMP5 training possible.
- Document rigor, sense of service, comfort in critical environments.
- Professional English is mandatory.
