Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing. Ensure strict compliance with Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) regulations, tax obligations, and statutory reporting requirements. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budget variances, and cash flow forecasts. Manage audits, liaise with external auditors, and maintain robust internal financial controls. Handle import/export financial documentation, duty exemptions, and regulatory filings relevant to free zone enterprises.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance or professional certifications (e.g., ICA, ACCA, CPA) will be a distinct   advantage. Experience: Must have at least 5 years of lead accounting experience, including independent bookkeeping and knowledge of financial and tax procedures with proven accounting experience, specifically with hands-on work in a Free Zone manufacturing or industrial environment

Skills & Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of Ghana Free Zones regulations and compliance frameworks. Proficiency in advanced corporate accounting software and Microsoft Excel (payroll systems, financial modeling). Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
