Key Duties And Responsibilities

Transport staff, partners and materials safely to and from field sites, regional and district health directories and meeting venues, as scheduled by the Transport Manager. Conduct daily and routine vehicle checks (e.g. brakes, tyres, fuel and lubricant levels and cleanliness) and report mechanical faults to the Transport Manager promptly Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel consumption records and maintenance/service schedules Support logistics for malaria commodity distribution and supervision visits Undertake official errands (e.g dispatch of documents and procurement related runs) as assigned by the Transport Manager. Observe road safety regulations and comply with the GHS Transport Policy, guidelines and protocols at all times Maintain confidentiality on officially NMEP/GHS matters

Qualification Required & Experience

Valid Ghanaian driver's license (class appropriate to the assigned vehicle type) with a clean driving record Minimum of SSCE or WASSCE or equivalent Minimum of 3 years driving experience, preferably within the public or health sector.

Competencies

Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and good knowledge of road networks Safety consciousness and defensive driving skills Ability to read and interpret road signs, traffic rules and regulation and travel to remote areas Good interpersonal and communication skills Punctuality, reliability, integrity and discretion
