What will you do?

As a nurse in travel medicine, you provide travelers with expert advice on health and prevention, so that they go on their trip well-prepared and return home healthy. You independently conduct consultations, prepare tailor-made travel advice, and provide vaccinations and medication prescriptions according to the guidelines of the Landelijk Coördinatiecentrum (LCR).

In doing so, you look beyond just the destination. In your advice, you take into account age, health status, background, and travel behavior, so that every client receives personalized and carefully substantiated advice.

Together with your colleagues, you ensure professional and customer-oriented service, where quality and expertise are central.

What does your workday look like?

You start your consultation at one of our locations in Venlo, Roermond, Venray, or Weert. During the day, you hold conversations with travelers who have diverse destinations and travel goals. You discuss health risks, advise on vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis, and administer vaccinations directly where necessary.

Between appointments, you update files, coordinate complex cases with colleagues, or consult with a physician. No traveler is the same, which means every appointment brings different questions and challenges.

You regularly participate in team meetings in which current developments, work processes, and special cases are discussed. You also follow training courses or clinical lessons to keep your knowledge up to date. Depending on the schedule, you work at different locations and sometimes during evening hours.
