Aircraft Mechanic (Aircraft Mechanic - Manufacturing Technology)

GFD GmbH is subdivided into the two business divisions Aviation and Simulation and currently employs around 300 people at various locations throughout Germany.

In the Aviation division, GFD offers broad military aviation expertise with a fleet of 16 specially equipped Learjets, focusing primarily on the area of target drone representation including EK training as well as flight surveying at Bundeswehr airfields.

In addition to simulator training for German Eurofighter, Tornado, and A400M pilots by its own civilian teaching staff, the Simulation division also includes the technical support of training simulators as well as the modeling of databases and the Synthetic Environment.

In the course of continuous growth, GFD GmbH is looking for a committed

Aircraft Mechanic (m/f/d)

at the earliest possible date.

Full-time (37.5 hours / week).

Main Tasks

• Troubleshooting, maintenance, and planned as well as unplanned maintenance on the Learjet 35A/36A and all aircraft systems including the TFE 731 engines (excluding electronic systems)
• Daily flight operations:
• Structural work:
• o Processing of metal parts, mainly aluminum, with various machines using different processes - pre-, intermediate, and post-flight inspections
• Refueling and defueling
• Change of launch rails on the aircraft according to the flight plan

Profile

• Completed training as an Aircraft Mechanic

(Maintenance Technology/ Manufacturing Technology/ Engine Technology)

• Good knowledge of conventional metalworking
• Experience working according to drawings
• Very good technical perception and understanding
• Good English skills
