We are looking for a Specialist to work in the strategic management of relationships with payment schemes and the optimization of costs associated with the acquiring business.
The professional will be responsible for leading financial impact analyses related to Interchange, Scheme Fees, and commercial incentives, supporting strategic decisions and identifying profitability improvement opportunities for the company.
The position will require strong interaction with Product, Finance, Pricing, Commercial, Operations areas, and external partners, contributing to structuring data initiatives and the economic optimization of the business.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Lead strategic analyses related to payment method costs, including Interchange, Scheme Fees, and other components of the ecosystem.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support executive decisions.
- Identify cost optimization and profitability increase opportunities.
- Coordinate impact assessments resulting from regulatory, market, or scheme program changes.
- Act as the focal point in the relationship with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and other ecosystem partners.
- Support commercial negotiations and strategic discussions with external partners.
- Lead data structuring and governance projects aimed at managing payment costs and revenues.
- Produce executive materials for presentations to senior leadership.
- Work transversally with local, regional, and global teams.
- Monitor market trends and initiatives in the payment methods sector.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN YOU?
- Completed degree in Administration, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Relevant experience in the payment methods market, acquiring, fintechs, financial institutions, or schemes.
- Experience in complex financial analyses and business model construction.
- Experience in cross-functional project management.
- Track record of working in negotiations or relationships with strategic partners.
- Interchange and Scheme Fees.
- Economics of payment methods.
- Acquiring and payment arrangements.
- Financial analysis and profitability.
- Advanced Excel.
- Construction of executive presentations.
- English or Spanish from intermediate level.
- Strong analytical capacity and strategic vision.
- Autonomy and sense of ownership.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at different hierarchical levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Collaborative and results-oriented profile.
- Ability to act in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
Desirable requirements
- Postgraduate degree or MBA will be considered a differentiator.
- Power BI, SQL, or data analysis tools.
- Previous experience with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or other schemes.
- Knowledge of interchange programs.
- Experience in cost optimization or profitability projects.
