Engineer (m/f/d) Product Innovation (Engineer - Biotechnology)

Your tasks:

• Implementation of the Getinge strategy in the field of product development
• Idea development and evaluation for future products in the field of Cardiopulmonary Disposables
• Development of medical single-use products for heart and lung support in cardiac surgery and intensive care, with a focus on the user and the patient
• Creation of design concepts, prototypes, and exploratory testing of these concepts in the laboratory
• Cooperation with external partners within the framework of development projects
• Creation of 3D models, 2D drawings, and specifications
• Evaluation of technical problems and finding solution approaches
• Support for the purchasing and quality departments in supplier selection and sampling
• Creation of technical documentation that enables regulatory approval of a new medical device and supports the market launch of the new medical device

Your profile:

• Successfully completed engineering degree (preferably in the fields of medical technology, plastics technology, mechanical engineering, process engineering) or a comparable qualification with corresponding professional experience
• Professional experience and knowledge in the development of medical devices
• 3D-CAD knowledge as well as experience with SolidWorks are desirable
• Knowledge of quality management for medical devices ISO 13485 / 21 CFR 820
• Enjoyment of communication, strong initiative, and teamwork skills
• Intrinsic motivation to bring about changes and to make innovative medical devices available to users and patients
• Very good English skills (written and spoken)
