People & Operations Manager
About the company
Get Out! Events is an established Singapore agency delivering corporate events, summits and conferences. We’re building an AI-native agency, equipping every team member with AI tools and agents to reduce repetitive work and focus on what people do best.
Your tasks
Reporting directly to a founder, you’ll own recruitment and day-to-day HR, while improving how we onboard, support and develop our team.
This is a hands-on role without an existing HR team to supervise. “Operations” means people-related internal processes, not running client events.
- Hire good people: source candidates, screen applications, coordinate interviews and recommend suitable hires.
- Set new hires up to succeed: organise onboarding, training plans and probation check-ins with their managers.
- Manage everyday HR: maintain employment records and policies, coordinate leave and payroll inputs, and handle employee questions confidentially.
- Support performance and development: help managers set expectations, give feedback and address concerns promptly.
- Plan ahead: identify staffing gaps and help maintain a reliable freelancer and crew talent pool.
Requirements
You should be able to manage routine HR work independently, recommend solutions and follow through, while escalating sensitive matters appropriately.
- Hands-on experience in recruitment and broader HR responsibilities.
- Evidence of personally sourcing and hiring candidates.
- Experience with onboarding, probation and employee relations.
- Working knowledge of Singapore employment requirements.
- Good judgment, organisation and discretion.
- Comfort using digital tools and learning to use AI responsibly.
HR managers, assistant managers and strong senior HR executives are welcome. What you’ve owned matters more than your title.
Small-business or growing-team experience is preferred. Events or startup experience is not required.
What we offer
- Work directly with the founders and make a visible impact.
- Take ownership of practical improvements without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Use AI and automation to work more effectively.
