At General Dynamics European Land Systems - Bridge Systems, based in Kaiserslautern, we produce bridging systems and amphibious vehicles for the military and civilian sectors.

To expand our team, we are looking for you as an

Electrical Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks in our company:

Development of design solutions

• Development, planning, and design, especially of electrical and electronic systems, for military systems and special vehicles in coordination with the department manager
• Planning and design of assemblies as well as their integration at the system level
• Accompanying development designs through to series production readiness

Development of software / control solutions

• Development and creation of user-oriented control instructions for PLC controls
• Integration of functions and systems into existing architectures
• Creation and design of visualization applications and user interfaces

Technical project support

• Cooperation with employees from various specialist areas in the project team and operations
• Coordination of the use of external suppliers
• Close cooperation with production, purchasing, sales, program, and service departments
• Determination of the hourly requirement for individual projects and communication to internal stakeholders as a basis for further quotation calculation

System integration

• Setup and support of diagnostic systems
• Commissioning of plants and systems in coordination with the department manager and customers
• Instruction and training of customers regarding the functionality and use of products and systems

FMEA analysis

• Creation of FMEA analyses and support of analytical considerations within the framework of the development and design process for the electrical engineering sub-sector

Our requirements for you:

• Completed university or technical college degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, with a focus on electrical engineering/automation technology
• Experience with hydraulic and electronic systems desirable
• Good PC skills in Microsoft Office
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor Professional and SeeElectrical is desirable
• Knowledge and experience in the programming of electronic controls according to DIN EN 61131
• Very good knowledge of the English language in spoken and written form
• Teamwork and communication skills
• High degree of flexibility and mobility
• Independence; goal-oriented and structured way of working
• Willingness to travel to domestic and international destinations
• Willingness for further training and specialization
