Soldering Operative

GEM Partnership are excited to be working with a new client on an exclusive basis to support them with staffing solutions, A world class global manufacturer they are looking to recruit into the Production area, they are a proud employer of choice and offer a range of career opportunities, as a Production Operative you will be based within their Production and be responsible for the duties within this area, We are looking to recruit on a Temporary ongoing basis for this role.

Duties

• Carry out soldering operations on cables, wires, connectors and electronic components to the required standard.
• Perform crimping activities using approved tools and equipment.
• Prepare cables and wires by cutting, stripping and snipping to specified lengths and requirements.
• Assemble cable harnesses, including fitting cables, connectors, terminals, pins and heat shrink materials.
• Conduct harness testing and inspection activities to verify product quality and functionality.
• Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, build documentation and production specifications.
• Use hand tools, measuring equipment and testing devices safely and effectively.
• Identify and report any quality issues, defects or non-conformances to the Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.
• Comply with all Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
• Support production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship and accuracy.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.

Required knowledge, skills or experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly or production environment.
• Experience of soldering and crimping.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and technical drawings.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately and consistently to quality standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Additional Information

Location: Newton Aycliffe

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 & Friday 08:00 – 13:45

Rates of pay: £14.07
