  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across System Engineering, Primary Plant, Civil & Structural, Control & Protection, Power System Studies, Mechanical, Telecommunications and Commissioning.
  • Develop and implement engineering execution plans, resource requirements, project priorities and performance targets.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet contractual obligations, technical specifications, project milestones and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical direction and coordinate the resolution of engineering challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage engineering interfaces among customers, consortium partners, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate engineering activities across global engineering centres and functional teams to ensure technical alignment and timely delivery.
  • Lead technical design reviews, engineering coordination meetings and technical governance activities.
  • Ensure effective configuration management, design control and engineering documentation throughout project execution.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate technical risks, interface issues and engineering constraints that may impact project performance.
  • Facilitate the resolution of complex technical issues in collaboration with engineering specialists and relevant stakeholders.

HVDC Engineering Governance

  • Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable HVDC reference designs, international standards, grid codes, contractual requirements and project-specific technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with Solution Engineering teams to ensure approved technical solutions are implemented and identified technical gaps are appropriately addressed.
  • Lead engineering change management activities, including assessing technical impacts on project scope, cost and schedule.
  • Oversee the technical integration of engineering deliverables from subcontractors, suppliers and consortium partners.
  • Ensure compliance with established engineering processes, quality management systems and internal governance requirements.

Project Delivery and Performance Management

  • Monitor and manage engineering performance against project KPIs, including schedule adherence, engineering budget, quality, productivity and delivery milestones.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Construction, Site Management and Commissioning teams to support successful project execution.
  • Identify potential engineering delays, technical constraints and delivery risks, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Support the assessment of technical variations, change orders, claims and associated commercial implications.
  • Prepare and present engineering progress reports, risk assessments and performance updates to project leadership and senior management.
  • Drive effective resource planning and coordination to ensure engineering activities remain aligned with project priorities.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary engineering interface with utility customers, developers, transmission system operators and consortium partners.
  • Lead technical workshops, design reviews and engineering coordination discussions with customers and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate engineering progress, technical decisions, project risks and mitigation plans clearly and effectively.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate technical alignment and timely resolution of project issues.
  • Support customer satisfaction through proactive communication, effective problem-solving and consistent engineering delivery.

Continuous Improvement and Team Development

  • Promote engineering standardization, process improvements, digital engineering tools and automation to improve project execution efficiency.
