Are you an experienced Commercial Surveyor looking to develop your career with a leading independent property consultancy?
We're recruiting for a Commercial Surveyor to join an established Commercial Professional team within one of Norfolk's leading independent property consultancies. This is a varied opportunity for an MRICS-qualified or AssocRICS Surveyor, ideally with around two years' post-qualification experience, although newly qualified Surveyors with relevant experience will also be considered.
The role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial property matters, including valuation, lease consultancy, rent reviews, business rates and general practice surveying.
The Role
As a Commercial Surveyor, you will:
- Prepare Red Book valuations for secured lending, private clients and institutions
- Inspect and measure commercial properties in accordance with RICS requirements
- Undertake market research and analyse comparable evidence
- Prepare accurate professional reports
- Provide lease consultancy advice
- Negotiate lease renewals and rent reviews
- Provide business rates advice and manage appeals
- Develop and maintain strong client and professional relationships
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Commercial Division
- Build your client base, market knowledge and professional experience
Commercial Surveyor requirements:
- MRICS or AssocRICS qualification
- RICS Registered Valuer status desirable
- Around two years' post-qualification experience, although newly qualified candidates with relevant experience will be considered
- Experience within a general practice or commercial surveying environment
- Good understanding of professional standards, RICS requirements and valuation principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Commercially minded with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
What's on Offer?
- £55,000–£65,000 basic salary, dependent on experience
- Performance-related bonus scheme
