assistant farm manager
Your tasks
- Work with honey bees.
- Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings.
- Manage overall operation of farm.
- Maintain financial and production records.
- Perform general farm duties.
- Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
Requirements
Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience.
Apiary and honey harvesting experience
- Apiary management.
- Automated honey extractor.
- Detect bee diseases .
- Hypothesize possible causes and solutions to colony collapse disorder (CCD) based on knowledge of bee behaviour, biology and cast system.
- Manage bee colonies for the production of honey and pollination purposes.
- . Treat bees with antibiotics .
- Queen bee production from grafting.
Equipment and machinery experience Truck.
Security and safety Bondable. Driver's validity licence check.
Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence.
