Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer
Description - External Overall, Job Purpose: Infrastructure & Communication Senior Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure and communication systems. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of network, server, storage, and communication solutions to support business operations effectively. Infrastructure Management Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments.
Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery solutions for critical systems.
Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, capacity, and security
Network & Communication Systems Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
Oversee communication and collaboration tools (VoIP, email systems, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.).
Implement network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and endpoint protection
Cloud & Virtualization Support cloud-based solutions (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and hybrid infrastructure models.
Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).
Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance
Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain security policies, identity management, and access controls.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.).
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits.
Incident Management & Support ·Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex infrastructure and communication issues. ·Coordinate with IT support teams to resolve incidents and prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and technical guides.
Qualifications - External Special Certification or Training Required
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and virtualization technologies.
Required Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, network engineering, or a similar role
Technological Requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core IT services
Certifications such as CCNP, MCSE, Azure/AWS Solutions Architect, or ITIL are a plus
Knowledge of automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python) is a plus
Networking: Proficiency in network infrastructure management, including Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto firewalls
Cloud Technologies: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and hybrid cloud solutions
Communication Systems: Knowledge of VoIP, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and unified communication platforms
