Electrical Technician – Power Generation Systems

Key Responsibilities:

Install, commission, and test diesel generator sets and associated electrical systems.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair generator electrical faults and automatic transfer/changeover systems.

Program, configure, and calibrate generator controllers and monitoring systems from various manufacturers.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on generators, control panels, and related electrical equipment.

Conduct electrical inspections, testing, and fault-finding to ensure reliable system performance.

Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Prepare maintenance reports and maintain accurate service records.

Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards and company procedures.

Requirements:

Diploma, Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related field.

Proven experience in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators.

Demonstrated ability to diagnose and rectify generator, controller, and changeover switch faults.

Experience programming and configuring generator controllers from various manufacturers.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, and power distribution equipment.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team.
