DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR

Job Summary:

The Distribution Supervisor (Day Shift)is mainly responsible for overseeing Distribution Clerks in receiving andverifying stock from manufacturing plants, as well as managing the receivingand counting of returned goods. Additionally, the role supports inventoryreconciliation, resource control, and seamless handover to the night-shift team.

Job Descriptions:

• Oversee Distribution Clerks to ensure systematic receiving and verification of stock arriving from various manufacturing plants.
• Supervise the accurate receiving, sorting, and stock counting of returned goods brought back by VSM.
• Reconcile daily Delivery Orders (D/O) against physical stock received and submit accurate daily inventory reports to management.
• Monitor and maintain operational stock levels of essential equipment, packaging supplies, and administrative forms required for departmental operations.
• Ensure all scheduled daily products for night-shift issuance are verified and staged ahead of time.
• Conduct clear, structured end-of-day handovers with the night shift supervisor to report pending tasks, stock discrepancies, or operational issues.
• Optimise manpower planning and allocation to ensure operational continuity and efficiency.
• Lead, train and motivate dispatch team to achieve high performance and discipline.
• Monitor attendance, performance and safety compliance among dispatch team.
• Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Job Requirements:

• Minimum GCE 'N' Level or Higher NITEC.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in logistics, warehousing, or transportation operations, preferably in a supervisory capacity or senior clerk role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to motivate staff and resolve workplace issues.
• Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (basic data entry, formulas, and reporting).
