Your tasks

We are looking for a motivated Sales Executive to develop and manage sales of our flexible seals, gaskets and custom extruded profiles to industrial and commercial customers.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers to understand their applications, drawings and performance requirements, and coordinate with our production and technical teams to propose suitable sealing solutions.

• Develop new customers and business opportunities for flexible seals, gaskets and extruded profiles.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing customers.
• Identify potential customers in industries requiring sealing and flexible profile solutions.
• Understand customer applications and recommend suitable profile designs, materials and manufacturing solutions.
• Handle customer enquiries, drawings, RFQs and quotation preparation.
• Follow up quotations and negotiate pricing, quantities, tooling requirements and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Production and Engineering on custom-made extruded profiles and new product development.
• Arrange samples, prototypes and trial production for new projects.
• Follow up on customer approvals and convert development projects into regular production orders.
• Monitor customer orders, forecasts and delivery requirements.
• Conduct customer visits and provide basic technical support where required.
• Maintain sales records, customer information and opportunity pipelines.
• Monitor competitors, market developments and new applications for flexible sealing products.
• Follow up on outstanding commercial matters and customer feedback.
• Achieve agreed sales and business-development targets.

You should be willing to visit customers, look at their applications, understand why a seal is required and work with our production team to develop the right solution.

This is not purely an order-taking position. We are looking for someone who can find opportunities, develop new applications and turn customer requirements into long-term manufacturing business.

Requirements

• Experience in B2B industrial sales, technical sales or manufacturing sales preferred.
• Experience selling rubber products, seals, gaskets, extruded profiles, plastics, building products or industrial components would be an advantage.
• Able to read and understand basic technical drawings and dimensions.
• Comfortable discussing customer applications with engineers, purchasers, contractors and business owners. Having your own vehicle will be an added bonus.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated and willing to actively develop new customers.
• Able to work independently while coordinating closely with Production and Engineering.
• Diploma or relevant technical/business qualification preferred.
• Candidates with strong relevant industry experience will also be considered regardless of academic qualifications.

We want someone who is commercially driven but technically curious.

Candidates with existing contacts or experience in construction, aluminium and glazing, doors and windows, industrial manufacturing, rubber/plastics, marine or engineering industries will have an added advantage.

For this role, I’d make the advertisement technical-sales oriented. The salesperson should be able to understand a customer's sealing application, drawing, material requirement and quantity—not simply sell from a catalogue.

Applications may include construction, aluminium and glazing systems, doors and windows, industrial equipment, electrical enclosures, automotive-related products, marine applications and general manufacturing.
