Science Lab Attendant - Serangoon

Your tasks

Scope of services o Open and lock science laboratories doors and windows to ensure safety and security of the premises o Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness of lab equipment and workspaces o Maintain general cleanliness of school premises as assigned o Assist in the preparation of apparatus, equipment and chemical reagents for Science Practical lessons o Clean, maintain and store science laboratory apparatus, equipment and materials o Provide support STEM instructors and assist with other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications, skills and experience o Minimum qualification: Primary school education and able to read and write in simple English o Must be able tohandle chemicals such as acids and bases o Some knowledgeof Science laboratory safety o Preferably 1year of working experience in a science laboratory in a Junior College

Other

Contract Period: 1 Jan 2027 to 31 Dec 2027 with an option to extend the contract for another year

Working hours

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:00am to 5:15pm, inclusive of a 45mins lunch break
• Wednesday: 8:00am to 4:45pm, inclusive of a 45mins lunch break
• During examination periods, personnel must be able to start work at 7:00am. Time-off-in-lieu will be granted for additional hours worked beyond the stipulated working hours.
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
