Your day: From hospitality to high-security (and everything in between)

• 06:45 AM | The kick-off: You open the gate and start the day. First, a cup of coffee with the team and your practical supervisor. Because teamwork (and good coffee) is the foundation of our success.
• 07:30 AM | The smile and the badge check: Together with an experienced colleague, you man the reception. You are the calling card: hospitable, sharp in your suit, and razor-sharp. Customer-friendly, but straightforward - exactly as you learn in the textbooks!
• 10:15 AM | The unexpected guests: People arrive at the gate for an 'urgent appointment' in the lab. They are not in the system and the contact person does not answer. You switch effortlessly to English, remain calmly de-escalating, and find the correct manager via an alternative route. Within no time, they are on the premises with a visitor pass and under supervision. Integrity and decisiveness in practice.
• 01:00 PM | Spider in the web in the Security Control Room: Time to observe in the high-tech control room in Leiden. Under supervision, you switch to screen work: camera surveillance (CCTV), alarm monitoring, and directing colleagues on the premises via the walkie-talkie. Even...
