QA/QC Engineer (Ready-Mix Concrete)

Job Summary

Manage and ensure quality control of ready-mix concrete products by implementing quality systems, conducting inspections, handling customer complaints, and supporting product development and ISO documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all quality aspects and technical matters related to ready-mix concrete to ensure product compliance
• Conduct inspections and testing activities following established procedures to maintain quality standards
• Collaborate with relevant HODs to implement quality systems and ensure testing meets specifications
• Perform site visits to investigate and resolve customer complaints related to quality control
• Conduct trial mixes at batching plants to validate product quality and performance
• Maintain, review, and update all quality records accurately for traceability and compliance
• Identify causes of product non-conformity and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Develop and improve concrete products through formulation and testing
• Prepare and maintain documentation required for ISO certification compliance

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction or building materials, preferably in ready-mix concrete manufacturing or related products
• Proficient knowledge and experience in ISO documentation processes
• Experience in concrete technology and quality control
• Possession of Class 3 driving license is an added advantage
