Job Title: Painter & Decorator

Location: Bristol Pay: £19.00 per hour PAYE Duration: On-going

Job Summary:

Fusion People are currently seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a maintenance and refurbishment team carrying out internal decorating works across a secure MOD facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating works within occupied buildings, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Due to the nature of the site, all candidates must be eligible to undergo and pass MOD/security clearance before commencing work.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out internal painting and decorating works across a variety of buildings and facilities
• Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, stripping and making good prior to decoration
• Apply paint, emulsions, gloss, varnishes and specialist coatings to walls, ceilings, doors and woodwork
• Carry out minor repairs to internal finishes where required
• Work from drawings, instructions and specifications with minimal supervision
• Ensure all work areas are left clean, safe and tidy
• Adhere to site health & safety procedures and MOD security requirements
• Report defects, material requirements and any issues to the Site Supervisor
• Work collaboratively with other maintenance and construction trades on site

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Painting & Decorating
• Previous experience carrying out internal decorating works within commercial, public sector, defence, healthcare or similar environments
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation and finishing standards
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred
• Eligible to pass security clearance required for an MOD site
