QA Tester/ Software Testing Analyst

Fundación Teletón is looking for talent to join its Information Technologies team.

Job Objective: To guarantee the quality and proper functioning of the software before its final deployment, identifying failures, risks, and deviations from requirements in advance, contributing to an optimal user experience and minimizing the probability of errors in production. The position participates in the integral testing strategy and functions as a bridge between the development team and the end user, ensuring that requirement needs are met.

Requirements

Education: Engineering in Systems, Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field. Degree is mandatory. Intermediate English.

Experience

• Experience in quality assurance activities.
• Experience in software testing (web, APIs, mobile, etc.).
• Experience in the design and execution of test plans and cases.
• Experience in functional, integration, regression, stress, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience in validation of APIs, endpoints, authentication flows, and backend services.
• Experience in identification, documentation, and tracking of defects.
• Experience collaborating with development teams for incident resolution and requirement validation.

Technical Knowledge

• API testing: Postman, Swagger, or similar tools for REST/SOAP service validation.
• Databases: intermediate queries for data validation.
• Management tools: GitLab, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Manual and automated testing.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Test automation using JavaScript or Python (desirable).
• Basic knowledge of Docker or containers (desirable).
• Experience collaborating in continuous integration environments (desirable).

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze functional requirements and user flows to define acceptance criteria and identify possible risks.
• Prepare test environments for validations.
• Elaborate test plans and cases with realistic data.
• Execute manual and automated functional tests for integration, regression, stress, and user acceptance.
• Validate endpoints, authentication flows, and error handling in backend services.
• Validate error correction through subsequent testing cycles.
• Document and track defects using management tools.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve ambiguities in user flows.
• Participate in the validation of components and user interface behaviors.
• Guarantee software quality prior to production deployments.
• Generate reports and metrics related to defects and testing.
