Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary
Support tendering and project cost management by preparing detailed cost analyses, managing subcontractor quotations, and controlling project budgets to ensure timely and accurate submissions and progress tracking.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue tender opportunities to expand the project portfolio
- Attend site briefings to gather project requirements before tender submission
- Analyze architectural drawings and material specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor quotations for various trades to ensure competitive pricing
- Prepare comprehensive tender submissions including bills of quantities and collaborate with management for final approval
- Manage the final tender submission process and respond to Tender Questionnaire and interview follow-ups
- Monitor project progress and maintain effective communication with vendors to ensure timely delivery
- Control project stages within predetermined budgets, including submission of progress claims, quotations, and variation orders
- Participate in site meetings for ongoing projects to track progress and resolve issues
- Measure and value contract variations to agree on interim payments and final accounts
- Collaborate with team members to meet client requirements and deliver project objectives
- Utilize AUTOCAD drafting skills for project documentation (preferred bonus skill) 🏗️
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Singapore
- AUTOCAD proficiency for drafting works (bonus)
