Machinist (Mould Maker)

Job Description: Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Operating conventional machines, performing precision fitting and finishing. Ensure that moulds meet required dimensional, functional, and quality standards. Check dimensions and tolerances using equipment, vernier caliper, micrometer, height gaug and etc. Read and interpret engineering drawing, mould designs, specifications and technical documentation. Perform precision machining, fitting, grinding, polishing, drilling, tapping, and bench work. To carry out mould repairs, modifications, refurbishment, and preventive maintenance. To ensure mould components are correctly fitted, aligned, and finished to the required standards. Identify worn or damaged components and recommend replacement or corrective action. Report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately. Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains 5S workplace standards and orderly work area. Job Requirements:                                                                                                Nitec or Diploma in Precision Engineering or related discipline. Relevant working experience in mould making, toolmaking, or precision machining. Bilingual in both spoken and written form. Basic computer literacy.
