To strengthen our team at the Thalheim bei Wels location, we are looking for 1 Data Platform Engineer - Infrastructure Operations
Your tasks:
- Operation and further development of our productive Kubernetes-based data platform, including Networking, Storage, Security, and Lifecycle Management
- Automation of infrastructure and platform deployments with Argo CD and GitLab CI/CD following a GitOps-first approach
- Implementation of new platform features from prototype to production operation
- Operation of central platform components - such as workflow orchestration (Argo) and data processing (Spark, Dremio) - together with the responsible colleagues
- Ensuring the observability of the data platform with Prometheus and Grafana: Monitoring, Alerting, error analysis, and continuous improvement
- Responsibility for security fundamentals: Secrets Management, access rights (RBAC), and Namespace Isolation
- Close cooperation with Data Engineers and Data Scientists in automation and AI projects
- Joint development of innovative and effective solutions in a motivated team
Your profile:
- Completed studies in Informatik, Data Science, Softwareentwicklung, or comparable
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of Data Engineering, Data Science, or Platform Engineering
- Sound knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Comprehensive knowledge of Software-Engineering and CI/CD processes
- Good knowledge of Python or other scripting languages
- Knowledge of S3-compatible Object Storage is an advantage
- Ideally certification as CKA, CKAD, or CKS
- Practical experience with observability stacks, ideally Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience in operating data platforms or Stateful Workloads on Kubernetes is an advantage
- Very good English skills, German skills are an advantage

Our wages and salaries are above the Kollektivvertrag (KV) of the Elektro- und Elektronikindustrie. The KV minimum values are between € 3,888.53 and € 4,993.21 - with a willingness to overpay. The exact amount depends on your qualification and experience.
