Your tasks

About the Role Support and optimize logistics operations (storage & distribution). Ensure the effective implementation of all necessary actions to improve logistics performance in a cost-efficient way.

As a Transportation Coordinator you will

• Play a key role in the development of a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.
• Collaborate with Operations in order to map the existing procedures.
• Define procedures for CI and ensure their effective implementation.
• Collaborate with other departments (i.e. technical dept., IT or product design) for optimization of overall efficiency.
• Manage system changes related to Logistics (Specifications of development, tests, training of users).
• Ensure all partners (internal & external) are working effectively and efficiently.
• Set up reports and monitor performance.
• Monitor logistics costs.
• Arrange International shipments by cntr/rail/truck/shipments
• Continuously valuate and try to improve distribution models and warehousing so as to develop business performance within the constraints of costs and legislation.
• Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with local regulations that may affect the operations.
• Seek out and evaluate solutions for bottlenecks / special cases concerning transportation, logistics systems or customer issues. Analyze financial impact and decide accordingly.
• Run and/or support tender for logistics services.

Requirements

What you’ll bring - Required Experience & Skills

• Maritime studies or Business graduate with relevant experience in logistics (warehousing, distribution / transportation)
• Proficient user of the English language
• IT literate - Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
