Responsibilities:

  • Coordination, further development, and implementation of the AdsD's internal and external communication strategy
  • Conception, editorial responsibility, and further development of the AdsD's online offerings
  • Identification of target groups, their needs, and corresponding adaptation of the AdsD's communication channels
  • Thematic and content-related elaboration of focal points, planning, and department-wide as well as external acquisition of contributions
  • Review, editing, and editorial supervision of scientific and print and online publications aimed at a broader public
  • Management of the AdsD pages as well as internet presentations on the history of social democracy and trade unions
  • Writing original, high-quality contributions appropriate for the target group and the medium
  • Representing the AdsD in editorial teams and topic portals of the FES

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree (BA) in History and/or Communication Science
  • Sound knowledge of 19th and 20th-century history, especially social democracy and trade unions
  • Strong analytical skills and competence in drafting solution-oriented concepts and high-quality contributions
  • Very good knowledge in the review and editorial processing of scientific and journalistic texts
  • Very good written and oral expression
  • Strong communication skills and affinity for digital communication at the interface of history, science, and politics
