TESTING ENGINEER WITHIN ADAS TO HÄLLERED!

Do you want to work practically with state-of-the-art testing equipment and contribute to the development of the autonomous and connected vehicles of the future? As a testing engineer within AD/ADAS, you will become part of a world-leading testing team and get to work with advanced robot systems for active safety.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

In the role of testing engineer, you will become part of the ADAS team at Hällered Proving Ground. Here, verification and validation of vehicles are conducted with a focus on, among other things, safety, performance, durability, comfort, and reliability. You will use advanced testing equipment, for example, driverless steering robots and self-driving soft target objects, to test and develop new vehicle functions within autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems, and communication between vehicles and their surroundings.

The test area within AD, ADAS is undergoing rapid development, which gives you the opportunity to influence and contribute to the test methods, test systems, and components of the future. You may also have the opportunity to participate in research and investment projects.

Examples of tasks:

• Plan, prepare, and conduct tests on the proving ground.
• Responsible for test setup and test procedures from a technical, operational, and safety perspective.
• Handle advanced rigs, robot systems, and other test and measurement equipment.
• Ensure measurement accuracy as well as troubleshoot and solve technical problems during ongoing tests.
• Improve and maintain testing equipment based on existing and new test and assessment standards.
• Participate in the development of new test methods and digital tools in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to research and development projects as needed.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Have a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in mechatronics, electronics, or a corresponding field.
• Have good knowledge of electronics, control theory, and automation.
• Have experience in programming, preferably in Python.
• Speak and write fluently in English, as the language is used in daily work.
• Have a Swedish B-class driver's license.

It is not necessary, but meritorious if you have:

• BE-class driver's license.
• Knowledge of C or C++.
• Experience with hardware and/or measurement systems.
• Experience in testing within AD, ADAS, V2X, or active vehicle safety.
• Experience working on a proving ground or with advanced vehicle-related testing equipment.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consultancy assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday and work as a consultant at our client's site.
