Mechanical Designer within high voltage products

ABOUT THE POSITION

On behalf of one of our clients, we are now looking for a mechanical designer who wants to be part of developing next-generation high voltage products. You will become part of a small and growing development organization where the focus lies on creating new products and technical solutions rather than managing existing designs.

The team works with products within the high voltage area, for example switches and battery disconnection systems, which are used within the energy and automotive industries. Here, you will have the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire development process, from idea and concept to finished product.

The role is suitable for you who likes to solve complex technical problems, explore new solutions, and work in projects where all answers are not available from the start.

In summary, you will:

• Design and develop high voltage products and technical solutions.
• Work with CAD design, primarily in Catia.
• Produce and further develop technical specifications and requirement documents.
• Participate in concept development, technical investigations, and prototype production.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, electrical engineers, and external suppliers.
• Contribute to solving technical challenges where requirements and solutions are not always defined from the start.
• Participate in customer meetings and, in the long term, take a more driving role in technical discussions.
• Support testing, analysis, and material selection.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a master's degree in mechanical design, mechanical engineering, or similar education.
• Has approximately 0.5-5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and/or product development.
• Has good CAD proficiency, preferably in Catia, but experience from other CAD systems is also relevant.
• Communicates fluently in English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have experience in:

• Injection molding, plastic design, or tool design.
• Manufacturing technology and product development processes.
• The energy industry or high voltage products.
• Material analysis, testing, or design within electrical and energy systems.

In addition to the above requirements, great importance will be placed on personal suitability, where we see that you who apply are a non-precious and positive team player who likes to share knowledge and experiences with your team. Furthermore, we also believe that you are meticulous but also communicative, where you dare to take up space in meetings. You are also expected to document your work, which requires good structure.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition is that you will, in the long term, become directly employed by the client.
