Junior Test Leader for Company within MedTech
About the company
We are now looking for a junior Test Leader for an innovative MedTech company in Lund. You will become an important part of a development project where advanced technology, software, image analysis, and quality assurance meet. The role is particularly exciting for you who want to take responsibility early, work closely with several technical areas, and in the long term develop towards, for example, project management.
You will become part of an established team with several experienced test leaders who support each other in the daily work. As a newcomer to the role, you will receive thorough onboarding and ongoing support from both test leader colleagues, project management, and other technical functions. This provides you with good conditions to gradually grow into the role, take responsibility, and develop within both test leadership and project management.
You will become part of an international and innovative MedTech company that develops advanced technical solutions for healthcare. Here, you will work in an environment where research, product development, software, electronics, and quality go hand in hand to create products with real utility.
At Friday, we are passionate about giving you, as a talent, a really good start and continued development in your career. By listening to what exactly you want and are driven by, we match you with companies and opportunities that make you look forward to going to work.
We are located in Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö, Linköping, and Örebro. Every year, we conduct over 5,000 career meetings and match candidates with everything from global companies to innovative startups.
Your tasks
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Test Leader, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on the project's testing, verification, and validation work. It is important to clarify that this is not a pure testing role where you only perform tests – you will have a leading and coordinating function in the project.
You ensure that the right activities are carried out according to the project plan, that processes and documentation are followed, and that development meets relevant quality and regulatory requirements. You work closely with developers, hardware specialists, project management, and other parts of the organization.
The project has a clear software and image analysis focus, while you also receive support from the hardware department. Among other things, you will work with test protocols linked to image analysis, data quality, and product verification.
In the role, you will among other things
- Plan, coordinate, and follow up on testing activities in a development project.
- Ensure that the project's development processes, quality requirements, and regulatory requirements are complied with.
- Develop, coordinate, and follow up on test, verification, and validation protocols.
- Ensure traceability and documentation within, for example, design, testing, verification, and validation.
- Allocate and coordinate who tests what, follow up on results, and ensure that activities are completed.
- Handle test data, for example, related to images, image analysis, and statistics.
- Collaborate closely with project management, development, and other technical functions.
- Contribute to structure and progress in the project, including through a working method reminiscent of the Scrum Master role.
- Identify risks, prioritize the right efforts, and find pragmatic solutions when everything cannot be tested at the same time.
Requirements
Are you a civilingenjör with an interest in technology, project management, and product development and are at the beginning of your career? Do you want to get a broad role within MedTech where you combine coordination, testing, quality, and technology? Then this could be a very good start to your career.
- Are a recent graduate or at the beginning of your career and have a civilingenjör degree in, for example, electrical engineering, engineering physics, computer engineering, or biomedical engineering.
- Have an interest in product development, testing, quality, and project management.
- Have a basic understanding of programming, preferably Python, and see the value in, for example, scripting or test automation.
- Are curious about image analysis, data, machine learning, or technical products where software and hardware meet.
- Communicate fluently in English in speech and writing, and preferably also Swedish.
As a person, you are structured, responsible, and pragmatic. You do not need to be the most specialized technical expert in the room, but you must be able to understand technical details, ask the right questions, and explain them to others. You thrive with many points of contact, can prioritize in a changing environment, and have a solution-oriented way of working.
What we offer
The company offers an inclusive culture, the opportunity to influence, and good conditions to develop in a broad role. For the right person, there are fine opportunities in the long term to grow further within, for example, project management, product development, or quality.
