Hardware Lead for Technical Company

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Our client is a well-established technical company that develops advanced products and system solutions for international customers. The company operates in a technically complex environment where electronics, mechatronics, and software interact to create robust and future-proof solutions.

We are now looking for a Hardware Lead who wants to take a leading responsibility for hardware-related issues in a team working with mechatronic solutions, where the products include, among others, actuators, electric motors, and sensors. In the role, you will work closely with system engineers, system architects, and specialists in areas such as EMC and functional safety.

In the role, you will among other things:

• Drive hardware-related issues from requirements specification to implementation
• Identify which components and technical solutions are needed based on product requirements
• Make strategic decisions linked to hardware design and future product development
• Lead and support implementation together with internal teams and external parties
• Work with EMC issues, FMEA analyses, functional safety, and sensor technology
• Participate in testing and verification of early designs
• Maintain ongoing contact with international colleagues and customers, for example in Canada, China, and Norway

The role is both technically deep and strategic. You will not only work with detailed implementation but are also expected to be able to lift your gaze, understand the whole picture, and make decisions that affect upcoming products and technical choices.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Have a relevant education in, for example, electronics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or similar, alternatively equivalent knowledge through work experience
• Have several years of work experience in hardware design, electronics design, or system-level hardware development
• Have experience in requirements specification and technical requirement flows
• Have very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written

We believe that you who are applying have worked for a few years in hardware design or a similar role and thereafter moved towards a more system-level, strategic, or leading role. You have a good technical understanding, but also the ability to see the whole picture and make well-founded decisions based on both technical requirements and future product needs.

As a person, you are driving, responsible, and confident in technical discussions. You are used to having meetings with international contact points and have the ability to communicate clearly even when the issues are complex. At the same time, you are attentive, listening, and understand that decisions can be influenced by different cultures, perspectives, and ways of working. To thrive in the role, we believe you are motivated by taking ownership, creating structure, and driving technical issues forward in close cooperation with others.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday, where the plan and ambition from both us and the client company is that you will be employed long-term.
