Nova Sounds is looking for a Fullstack Developer who wants to build products at the intersection of music, data, and modern software development with a focus on TypeScript, React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, and Python. Here, you will work in a small tech team with great individual responsibility, short decision-making paths, and a daily routine where ideas quickly become code in production.

Nova Sounds is a musictech company in Stockholm with its own proprietary platform that serves as the hub of the business.

As a Fullstack Developer, you will become part of a small tech team with a large mandate and close collaboration. There are no long decision-making paths or heavy processes here—the team works closely with the business and builds solutions that quickly make a real difference in everyday life. You will work broadly, take responsibility for the entire delivery, and help influence both product, technology, and working methods.

The culture is characterized by a high level of ambition, curiosity, and a strong focus on quality. The team works at a high pace with small, clear pull requests and frequent releases. AI agents are a natural part of the development work and are used to streamline coding and solve tasks in parallel. At the same time, the responsibility always lies with the developer: you review critically, test thoroughly, and stand behind every change that goes into production.

Your tasks

• Develop and launch features across the entire stack—from web applications and APIs to background jobs and data pipelines
• Develop solutions for ingesting, validating, and reconciling royalty data and streaming data
• Work closely with the business to transform needs into well-thought-out and production-ready solutions
• Take responsibility for what you build even after release by following up on deploys, analyzing logs, and improving the solution as needed
• Ensure that documentation, tests, and instructions are clear and up-to-date—both for the team and the AI agents working in the codebase
• Use AI agents in daily development work to break down, implement, and quality-assure changes

Requirements

This is an environment for you who likes to make things happen, is confident in working independently, and wants to build solutions where correctness truly matters.

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field
• Has good experience with TypeScript as well as React and Next.js
• Has worked with, for example, Server Components, Route Handlers, and Server Actions in Next.js
• Has good knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL, including transactions, indexes, constraints, migrations, and query optimization
• Has experience with Python, preferably linked to data pipelines or file handling
• Has worked with background jobs and third-party integrations, such as APIs, webhooks, retries, and error handling
• Is accustomed to, and enjoys, using AI coding agents in your daily development work
• Communicates fluently in English, both orally and in writing
