Driven Embedded Developer for Innovative Start-up

About the position

As an Embedded Developer, you will become an important part of the development work related to the software in the company's products. You will work with embedded C, sensor integration, bug fixes, testing, and releases. The team is small, which means you will have a broad role where you work closely with both product, technology, and customer needs.

The work includes both stable releases, patch releases, and customer-oriented improvements. You will also work with test environments, scripting, and tools based on Raspberry Pi, Python, and Bash. For the right person, there are good opportunities to grow over time towards more customer contact, technical sales, or product-oriented responsibility.

Tasks

In the role, you will among other things:

• Develop and maintain software for embedded systems
• Work with embedded C, firmware, and RTOS environments
• Handle sensor integration, bug management, and patch releases
• Test, debug, and quality assure the software in physical devices
• Work with test environments, scripts, and tools in Python and Bash
• Handle technical questions related to the product's use by the customer

We are looking for you who

• Has an engineering degree in, for example, computer engineering, electronics, engineering physics, software engineering, or another relevant field
• Has knowledge in C programming
• Has an interest in embedded development, IoT, and hardware-proximate software
• Is experienced with Linux
• Has good knowledge of English, as the language is used in both internal and external communication

It is meritorious if you have experience with RTOS, for example Zephyr, Python, Bash, Raspberry Pi, sensor integration, signal technology, measurement technology, or metrology.

As a person, you are curious, driven, and solution-oriented. You thrive on taking responsibility, experimenting, and working in an environment where all frameworks are not always set from the start. You do not need to know everything from the beginning, but we believe you like to learn new things, take your own initiatives, and at the same time dare to ask for help when needed.

The company is a small and innovative tech-startup in Linköping that develops products within IoT and sensor technology. The product is used today by customers throughout Europe, and the development work takes place close to both technology, product, and customer needs. About the employment

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will be employed by Friday and work as a consultant on-site at the company.
