Approval Specialist to international industrial company

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In the role of Approval Specialist, you will have a central function in the work of ensuring that the company's products meet international standards, regulatory requirements, and customer-specific specifications. You are responsible for coordinating and administering product approvals and certifications throughout the entire process, from testing and technical documentation to renewal and follow-up.

You will work closely with both internal and external contact points, including certification bodies, customers, test laboratories, as well as departments within research and development, quality, production, product management, and sales. The role involves driving several parallel processes and ensuring that documentation, technical data, and certificates are correct, updated, and available.

You will also contribute to developing and streamlining the company's working methods within product approval and regulatory compliance. By identifying opportunities for improvement, you help the organization shorten lead times, standardize processes, and enable a faster introduction of new and existing products to the market.

For example, you will:

• Coordinate customer-specific tests, product testing, and approval processes in collaboration with internal and external test laboratories
• Manage certification processes according to international standards and customer-specific requirements and act as a contact person for customers and certification bodies
• Prepare, review, and submit technical documentation and test results for new certifications, product extensions, and renewals
• Monitor changes in regulations and certification requirements and ensure that certificates, product data sheets, and other technical information are updated and compliant
• Maintain certification registers in databases and PLM-systems and plan upcoming renewals
• Support the sales and marketing organization in certification matters and contribute to developing and streamlining internal processes

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

Have a university or engineering degree in, for example, engineering, materials science, quality, production, or a related field, alternatively equivalent relevant work experience Have good communication skills and are used to collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with document management systems Communicate fluently in English, both orally and in writing, as the role involves international contact points

Meritorious if you have:

• Experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, or technical documentation within the manufacturing industry
• Experience from the metal industry, manufacturing industry, or another technical industrial business

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from both the client and our side is that after a period, you will transition to employment with the client.
