Transport Planner

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Transport Planner for a well-established Transport company based in the Hounslow, Middlesex area.

Transport Planner is responsible for the effective day-to-day Planning of the transport department's daily workload using the company's small fleet of HGV vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Start to finish with transport planning
• Plan and organise collections and deliveries in accordance with customer requirements, agreed schedules, available capacity and operational priorities.
• Co-ordinate the allocation of company drivers,
• Ensure all movement instructions are communicated accurately and efficiently to drivers
• Monitor movements throughout the day and proactively manage potential delays, disruptions or changes.
• Maintain strong and professional working relationships with key customers and operational contacts.
• Respond promptly and effectively to operational queries and requests.
• Provide customers with accurate updates regarding the status of movements.
• Manage customer expectations where delays, changes or operational difficulties arise.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 0830 - 1800.
