Oceanfreight Coordinator

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Oceanfreight Coordinator for a well-established Freight Forwarder. The company is based in the Basildon area.

As an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK. We have a fast growing reputation with most Freight related companies. Freightserve has been established since 1992 working within the Freight Forwarding and Shipping industry.

Your tasks

• Understand and execute the departments vision of good business development in order to successfully move Sea Freight products.
• Complete all Export and Cross Trade activities

• Correctly complete all customs export declaration forms.
• Ensure all operational activities are completed on time.

• Maintain regular communication with the manager.
• Reporting new sales leads.

• Maintain Customer and inter-departmental at all times.
• Follow up late customer payments in conjunction with credit control.

• Communicate quotations to the line manager/sales team and ensure all quotations are on the system.

Requirements

Skills, Experience and Competencies:-

• Minimum of 2 years Sea Export experience
• Knowledge of Sea import or air exports

• Be able to prioritise own workload but be able to work as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills over the telephone and e-mail

• Have good understanding of processes and procedure

Working hours are Monday - Friday 0830 - 1730
