DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to streamline our software delivery pipelines and manage cloud-native infrastructure. The candidate should have strong experience with CI/CD, containerization, automation, and monitoring in modern infrastructure environments.

1. Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure

• Deploy, operate, and optimize cloud infrastructure, with a strong preference for OpenStack-based environments.
• Install, configure, and administer OpenStack services including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, and Horizon.
• Operate platforms across on-premises, private-cloud, and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Contribute to high availability, backup, disaster recovery, capacity planning, patching, and platform lifecycle management.

Automation, IaC & CI/CD

• Automate infrastructure and application delivery using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and/or Python.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD, or equivalent platforms.
• Standardize provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operations through reusable code, templates, SOPs, and runbooks.
• Promote GitOps and Infrastructure as Code practices to improve consistency, traceability, and delivery speed.

Containers & Platform Engineering

• Deploy and operate Docker and Kubernetes environments, preferably integrated with OpenStack and Ceph.
• Manage cluster components, Helm-based releases, ingress, registries, resource policies, and platform upgrades.
• Collaborate with application teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and deployment readiness.

Observability, Reliability & Support

• Implement monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Zabbix, or equivalent tools.
• Troubleshoot issues across Linux, cloud, container, network, and storage layers; perform root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Develop architecture documents, operating procedures, SOPs, and runbooks; participate in on-call support when required.

1. Required Skills

• 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or System Engineering.
• Practical experience deploying and operating OpenStack in production or a large-scale lab environment.
• Strong Linux administration skills across Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky Linux, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLAN, VXLAN, BGP, NAT, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
• Working knowledge of Ceph (RBD/CephFS), NFS, iSCSI, SAN, or NAS technologies.
• Proficiency in Ansible; hands-on Terraform experience is highly valued.
• Experience with GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD, or an equivalent CI/CD platform.
• Hands-on exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to analyze logs, debug systems, manage incidents, and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Ability to read and understand English technical documentation.

1. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with highly available, multi-region, or production-scale OpenStack environments.
• Experience integrating OpenStack with Kubernetes, Ceph, SDN, OVS, or OVN.
• Knowledge of IAM, SSL/TLS, secrets management, Linux hardening, and cloud security practices.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Relevant certifications such as OpenStack COA/COE, CKA/CKAD/CKS, RHCSA/RHCE, Terraform Associate, or a public-cloud certification.
• Experience in ISP, telecommunications, data-center, managed-services, or multi-tenant environments.
