Hardware Engineer

We are looking for a hardware engineer for our Systems Product Engineering group.

The candidate will assume full responsibility for all matters related to networking systems product engineering on the production line. The position requires knowledge of hardware, firmware/software, mechanical integration, and manufacturing. The candidate will work closely with various groups within the networking organization: hardware/software/firmware R&D, Architecture, Test Engineering, Quality and Reliability, and Operations. The candidate will participate in direct communication with customers and other internal groups. The position offers the opportunity to acquire deep knowledge of liquid-cooled networking systems and a system-level view. The position requires working physically on-site.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Lead inter-organizational working groups: You will be responsible for managing and leading cross-functional teams to address quality incidents and failure modes in networking products. This involves coordinating efforts across various departments, such as hardware, software, and manufacturing, to work together in identifying and resolving problems.
• Root cause analysis and test planning: You will perform exhaustive root cause analyses through meticulous analysis of failure modes. You will supervise and control test performance across all stations.
• You will be the technical lead for all issues related to testing, test infrastructures, and their configuration, and must provide a fast and professional response to any incident.
• The workplace is located at the FXN factory in Guadalajara, Mexico.
• Filter all technical issues as level 2 and lead all production deficiencies until resolution, as well as direct technical working groups until the root cause is found.
• Perform production line audits, ensuring that the CM operates according to NV requirements and procedures.
• Knowledge of data analysis (JMP) and working with test logs (understanding of Python code).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• More than 4 years of technical experience in hardware or systems design, failure analysis, debugging, architecture, or product engineering.
• Familiarity with electrical product manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment, setting up laboratory environments, and troubleshooting.
• A highly motivated team player who stays up to date with new technologies and failure analysis methodologies.
• English proficiency is required.

Ways to stand out from other candidates:

• Experience as a test engineer or product engineer.
• Experience in board or systems design.
• Familiarity with ICT/JTAG technology and/or functional testing.
• Linux operating systems and programming languages such as Perl or Python.
