Materials Analyst

Responsible for the planning and administration of materials to guarantee compliance with the production plan, ensuring the timely supply of components, inventory control, and effective coordination with national and international suppliers.

Main responsibilities

• Perform materials planning according to demand and production requirements.
• Analyze and follow up on the MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
• Generate and manage requisitions and purchase orders.
• Follow up on delivery commitments from national and international suppliers.
• Coordinate and expedite shipments to ensure operational continuity.
• Monitor the timely entry of materials into the warehouse.
• Maintain the appropriate balance between production requirements and inventories.
• Manage and follow up on obsolete and surplus materials.
• Prepare reports on shortages, inventories, and performance metrics.
• Participate in internal meetings and forums, as well as with customers, providing visibility into the status of materials.
• Follow up on and approve engineering changes related to materials.
• Identify and timely resolve supply problems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with operational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, EHS, Asset Security, Social Responsibility, and Information Security systems.

Requirements

Education

Completed Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, International Trade, Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• Experience in Supply Chain, Materials Planning, Purchasing, or Logistics.
• Experience in inventory administration and control.
• Knowledge of sourcing processes and supplier follow-up.

Languages

Intermediate-advanced English (ability for technical and business communication, oral and written).

Technical knowledge

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel desirable).
• Use of data analysis tools and macros.
• Experience in ERP systems such as SAP.
• Knowledge of Agile and supply chain processes.
